Cost Accounting Manager | Mid-size Steel Company | Southwestern, PA POSITION TITLE: Cost Accounting Manager REPORTING TO: Corporate Controller LOCATION: Southwestern Pennsylvania THE COMPANY: Mid-size Steel Company COMPANY PROFILE: The Company is a private equity owned global leader in specialty steel manufacturing. The Company employs approximately 1000 people at locations in North America and Europe. Annual sales are measured in the hundreds of millions and the Company is profitable. POSITION SUMMARY: The Cost Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the Company's cost accounting system and incentive (productivity) programs at its southwestern PA operations. SAP is the principal cost system in use. There are, at present, five direct reports to the Manager. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: The successful candidate should have at least 5 years of cost accounting experience. Prior experience working with SAP is desirable, but not a prerequisite. He or she should have strong leadership capabilities and excellent communication, public speaking and presentation skills. A good 'board room' presence is desirable and the successful candidate should have a history of working well with fellow employees. The ability to deal with stress, adapt to changing work situations and make judgmental decisions are also of crucial importance. SALARY/BENEFITS: The Company offers a competitive salary plus bonus.
